The first for Austerity Drive, but Gross Net's second, Outstanding Debt is a compilation of material (mostly) drawn from several aborted releases. It marks the transition of the project from it's beginnings as a duo to Philip Quinn's (Girls Names) solo venture and from the previous ep released on cassette by Art for Blind (Perfect Pussy, The Altered Hours). Where once there was noisey guitar/bass interplay, drum machine and background synths, Outstanding Debt sees the synthesiser writ large with half the tracks eschewing the use of guitar entirely.

With a clear anti-establishment stance, Outstanding Debt shows Gross Net turning more outward and acts as a gateway between what came before and what is soon to come both sonically and thematically.
